6 Cheminees is in the outstanding Puy-de Dome, Auvergne region of Central France near the Volcanic Parks. The medieval site of the Cross at the top of the Puy of Nonette is a popular tourist attraction for walkers and bird watchers. We are 5 mins from the A75 motorway (4 ½ hours Paris, 3 hours Montpellier) so a perfect short-break for those travelling South or North for a holiday. Taking the A72 motorway you need 2h30 to the airport of LYON (Easy jet, British Airways) or taking the A75 motorway 2h10 to the airport of RODEZ (RYANAIR). Clermont Ferrand's airport and station are 30 minutes away and with the EUROSTAR to Paris and TGV to Clermont Ferrand.

This unique Art Deco House, run by an English couple, offering quality Bed and Breakfast, sits quietly in it's own grounds with panoramic views and private parking. A small privately run B&B for the discerning client who wants peace and tranquility. The area has a micro-climate which can be enjoyed overnight or for a short-break holiday.

Easy  Access from A75

The A75 motorway Exit 17 is 5 minutes away and facilitates the access to our house. "Villeneuve Lembron" or "Parentignat" castles and the many Roman abbeys show the magnificience of the 12th century Roman work of art which belong to the regional historical inheritance, they are easily accessible from Nonette.

 

Activities in the Auvergne

Fishing (Perch and Trout), swimming, canoeing, birdwatching and walking can all be enjoyed in or along the River Allier at the foot of Nonette. Gliding and flying can be enjoyed from Issoire Airport 20 mins away. We are 5 mins from Le Breuil and Saint Germain Lembron where there are restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets. Car and motorcycle racing near Parentignat.
